Cary Horvath

Cary Horvath has represented local governments for over 25 years.

Mr. Horvath has served as a city or village attorney for numerous municipalities including Blue Island, Broadview and Homer Glen.  He has successfully negotiated collective bargaining agreements with unions representing police, fire and government employees. For his municipal and governmental clients, he provides counsel in the areas of financing and construction of economic development projects through the formation of tax increment financing districts.

Mr. Horvath is a skilled and seasoned litigator providing leadership to the firms attorneys in this area.

He received his bachelor of arts degree with distinction in finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1973 and his Juris Doctorate from IIT/Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1976. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Bar of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the Bar of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
