Elizabeth Shine Hermes
Elizabeth Shine Hermes is an experienced municipal attorney who received her bachelor of science degree in psychology from Western Illinois University and her Juris Doctorate from Northern Illinois University College of Law. She is a member of the Bars of the State of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She is a member of the Home Rule Attorneys Committee of the Illinois Municipal League, Municipal Prosecutors Group of the Illinois Institute of Local Government Law and the Illinois State Bar Association.
Ms. Shine Hermes served in the Municipal Prosecutions Division with the City of Chicago’s Department of Law and with the office of the chairman of the Cook County Board of Review. Her responsibilities with the Board of Review included representing the Board at appeal hearings and settlement conferences as well as before the State Property Tax Appeal Board.
Ms. Shine Hermes currently represents local governments that include Schiller Park and Worth Township. She maintains an active practice before the Board of Review and Property Tax Appeal Board and is a certified hearing officer, serving as an adjudication officer in Evergreen Park, Willow Springs and Calumet City. |
