Odelson & Sterk also boasts wide experience in proceedings before the Illinois Labor Relations Board and the Illinois Education Labor Relations Board. That includes unemployment hearings, review and drafting of contracts, personnel handbooks, policies, collective bargaining agreements, grievances and unfair labor practice complaints.

ELECTION LAW
For more than 30 years, Odelson & Sterk has been an acknowledged leader in the development and practice of election law in Illinois. Our firm has served as special legal counsel to local electoral boards on matters from local hearings to a landmark case before the U.S. Supreme Court.
PROSECUTION
As municipal prosecutors our firm has aggressively represented our clients for over thirty years in a wide variety of legal pursuits, ranging from simple parking violations to fatal motor vehicle accidents and complex housing court matters. The firm prosecutes many quasi-criminal cases including housing and health code violations, railroad violations and theft of utility services.
FIRE & POLICE COMMISSIONS
The firm is experienced in all aspects of disciplinary hearings, including the conducting of the hearings before the local board and in representation before the circuit and appellate courts.
POLICE, FIRE AND CIVIL SERVICE
The firm also acts as prosecutor before local Police and Fire, and Civil Service Commissions. This involves disciplinary and termination cases often litigated on appeal.
LIQUOR CONTROL
The firm represents the mayors and presidents of its municipal clients in liquor control hearings, acting as counsel to the local liquor control commissioner or as prosecutor in contested cases. |
